Bago Travel Bags
I was recently approached by this company called Bago Travel Bags who saw a video review I posted on Amazon. They enjoyed the review and asked if I would be interested in trying out some of their bags for free in exchange for an honest review. We all know how much I enjoy freebies, so I said sure! But before I accepted their generous offer, I did a little research on Bago Travel Bags and noticed that their stuff is a little different from other types of travel bags I’ve seen on the market. They are all really light weight! When you have a ton of stuff to carry, the last thing you need is the extra weight of the bag, am I right? These bags are also extremely compact and versatile. They can be utilized for many different uses. Here are some of the options they have available…
I don’t travel very often, but when I do, I never know what to bring with me. I always over pack so I am prepared for any type of weather or situation. But I also have a ton of crap that I just have to take with me if I am going to be gone for longer than 24 hours. I need my facial washes, make up remover, hair products, jewelry, make up etc. But I usually just toss everything into a ziploc bag and stuff it in one of the pockets of my suitcase. It’s not really the most efficient way to take liquids, powders, and earrings travelling. The stuff turns into a jumbled mess and I have to be really careful that it doesn’t get squished inside my suitcase. So when I had the opportunity to try out this toiletry bag complimentary in exchange for my honest review, I thought this was exactly what I needed.
This toiletry bag is pretty amazing! It has a pocket for just about everything. Inside the center portion there are 2 zippered pockets, 1 large one and 1 small one which is perfect for earrings, or small items. There are also 3 additional pockets inside the center portion along with a hook so you can hang the bag up neatly. Then there is a tall pocket on each side which are perfect for tall toiletries like shampoo or hair spray and slots for narrow items like make up pencils. If you can’t fit it in here, then you probably have too much stuff! I’m never going back to plastic bags again.
You can get this Bago Toiletry Bag bag on Amazon for around $27
I also never know what to do with my shoes. I typically bring 2-3 pairs with me and just throw them in the bottom of my suitcase where they get tossed around. I also don’t like that there is the possibility of them getting my clothes dirty and wrinkled. So when I had the opportunity to try out this shoe bag in exchange for my honest review, I thought this would be a great help.
I received the blue model. It is a big square pouch with a sturdy zipper. Inside the bag is a center divider along with 2 removable dividers so you can store 1 pair of shoes for each side. I wear a size 6 shoe so there was plenty of room for them inside. I like that you can keep them neatly tucked inside with no chance for them to get your clothes dirty. You can also place it in your suitcase or just take the bag with you separately if you need to. It would be great for going to the gym after work! Even if you don’t need it for shoes, it makes a super bag for taking home your souvenirs!
You can purchase the Bago Hanging Shoe Bag on Amazon for around $15.
When my only child was a newborn, I used to drag around a big, bulky diaper bag with me wherever I went. But those bags are cumbersome – especially when you need your arms free for holding your child or pushing a stroller. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve almost whacked my kid in the face with the bag when reaching down to pick him up. Don’t call CPS, I said almost. And don’t act like that hasn’t happened to you either!
But a few months later, I realized that carrying a diaper bag around is kind of pointless. Especially when you can just use a backpack (otherwise known as a daypack). Not only can you fit all of your stuff in there, you can have your arms free as well. I ditched the diaper bag for good when my son was about 4 months old and used a backpack exclusively ever since. I only wish I had heard about this particular backpack back then!
This bag is really special. First of all, it’s perfect to take anywhere. It actually comes folded up like a little satchel that’s only around 8″ so it’s super compact. If you are going on a trip, you can just toss it into your luggage without taking up hardly any space. It’s airport cabin approved too, so you don’t have to worry about excess luggage charges . Then you just unzip, and flip it open to reveal a full size back pack with lots of storage. In fact, you actually could fit this backpack inside your diaper bag!
There’s 2 pockets on the side to hold your bottles. You can use one for your baby bottle and the other one for a water bottle. Hey, a mom’s gotta stay hydrated right? And then there is a large open mesh pocket in front for diapers, baby wipes, and boogey rags. Just inside that mesh pocket is a smaller zippered pocket which would be perfect for putting your baby’s binky in. We haven’t even gotten to the main part of the bag which is incredibly roomy! There’s still plenty of space inside for your nursing cover, portable changing pad, like 3 pairs of spare clothes, formula, and any other essentials you need. And it’s light with breathable shoulder straps. You have enough crap to carry. You don’t need the extra weight of the bag holding you down.
My son is currently 5 years old and we no longer need to worry about baby supplies. But I have continued to use a backpack ever since, and now I am using this one! In fact whenever we go on outings, I leave my purse at home and only take the backpack. These days I use it to hold my wallet, phone, keys, snacks, and some random sticks and rocks that my son picks up and feels the need to take home with us. I have the black one but you can get it in your choice of pink, green, and blue. And it’s tear proof so I trust that it will be good for many years to come.
You can find this Lightweight Foldable Daypack Backpack from Bago Travel Bags on Amazon for under $20
I have tested out dry bags in the past, and they are a really cool product to have if you are anyone who is into outdoor sports such as canoeing, kayaking, snowboarding, scuba diving, or simply just going to the beach. I do not do any of those things. I live in AZ so the nearest ocean is about 367 miles away. And the only outdoor sport I do is walking to and from the mailbox up the street. But my husband is a prepper and we like to stock up on emergency supplies for our bug out box, so when I received the opportunity to test this item in exchange for an honest review, I thought that this dry bag would be a great thing to have on hand.
I chose the 10ml Yellow bag. We went with the yellow because in the event of an emergency, you would want to be able to spot the bag immediately. The bright color would stand out like a sore thumb in pretty much any environment (unless you are on the road to Oz and drop it along the yellow brick road – but that’s not likely to happen).
What I like about this bag is that it’s a pretty decent size and I love how it has a little clear window so you can see your stuff inside. It is made of a thick PVC type of material and it’s really heavy duty. It also has a handy adjustable shoulder strap so you can just grab it and go. One other reviewer mentioned that you shouldn’t store your electronics inside – which is a very helpful tip. But seriously, do you really need to bring your lap top with you on a scuba excursion?
However, even if you are snorkeling in the Caribbean, I’m sure you would not want to be without your smart phone. And that’s why the icing on the cake is this bonus waterproof cell phone holder that comes with it! This is a clear thick plastic case with not one, not two, but three ziploc style enclosures. But there’s more! After you secure the seal, you roll down the top and complete the job with a velcro enclosure and snaps. In fact, against my husbands “better” judgement, I was so confident in this bag that I tested it with my own Samsung Galaxy S5 cell phone. And it worked perfectly. My phone stayed completely dry.
You can see the video of me testing out the dry bag and the smart phone case (with my very own phone in it) to see the results for yourself. If you have a need for this type of product, I can say with confidence that this definitely a great buy.
