What is up with Charcoal lately?

What is up with this charcoal trend lately?

Charcoal has become a super popular ingredient in so many health and beauty products lately. I can see why.

Not only is charcoal used to clear out toxins in cases of poison ingestion, but it’s also used as a filter for fish tanks and swimming pools.

I have used charcoal products for my acne prone skin and it works fantastic. But I have never tried it on my teeth!

I’ve been seeing lots of videos of people using charcoal whitening teeth powder, and boy does it look messy.

What are Cleangrin Activated Charcoal Teeth Whitening Strips?

These charcoal teeth whitening strips are a natural way to help you get whiter teeth without the chemicals from commercial teeth whitening strips.

The first ingredient is actually coconut oil – another product that people are going gaga over these days. I love that this is a healthier alternative to chemical whitening strips that you find on the market.

What you get:

The Cleangrin whitening strips contain:

  • 14 treatments each with a strip for the bottom teeth and the top teeth.
  • A white shade guide to help you determine what level of white your teeth are and what level you dream of being.
  • Instruction manual.

How to use the Cleangrin Teeth Whitening Strips?

It’s so easy. You simply peel off the strips from the plastic backing and place them smoothly over your teeth. They suggest starting with the lower teeth first, and then doing the top teeth after.

Don’t eat or drink for 30 mins while wearing the product and let it do its magic.

After 30 mins are up, you just peel off the plastic coating and rinse your mouth. You will have to rinse it several times to effectively get rid of the product from your teeth.

You also may be left with some bits in between your teeth. A little thread of floss will take care of that in a jiffy.

But do they really work?

Yes! Well after only one use, they made my teeth about 2-3 shades whiter! I definitely noticed a difference.

Before first use, my teeth were at a level 10.

Overall impressions of Cleangrin Charcoal Teeth Whitening Strips

  1. A natural alternative to chemical teeth whitening products.
  2. Easy to use.
  3. Safe for sensitive teeth.
  4. Works quickly.
  5. Contains natural ingredients like coconut oil which is often used for oil pulling and oral health.
  6. Less messy than powders.

  1. The taste took me by surprise. They have a slight minty flavor which is not unpleasant. But it was a little unexpected.
  2. After removing the plastic strip, the texture was kind of crazy. It was super thick and gummy.
  3. Hard to rinse out and leaves bits of black between teeth.

I am very pleased with the results of these teeth whitening strips. After only one use I could really notice a difference.

If you are suffering from sensitive teeth but want to get them super white, you should definitely check this out!

  21. I think charcoal is an effective whitening agent as it adsorbs the dirt from the teeth. It’s cheaper too!

  22. I had never heard of this before. I have got to try it out!

  23. The activated charcoal’s pores bind with rough parts on teeth, usually surface stains and plaque, making it easier to remove the yellowing substances. Once the charcoal has been given enough time to stick to your teeth, it can be removed and when it is, the mineral takes the plaque, food particles, and surface stains with it – leaving you with gorgeous, sparkly, whiter teeth!

I love hearing from you...
