Advanced Glutathione Spray

So there has been a lot of talk lately about this product called Glutathione and about how it is supposed to be a total body detoxifier. I’m not a fan of taking pills so when I saw this in a spray form, I thought I would give it a shot. This product is toted to provide so many great health benefits ranging from increase in energy, stamina, and endurance. It is also supposed to lessen muscle fatigue, decrease inflammation, and strengthen your immune system. Sounds too good to be true, right? Well I will say, the first time I tried out this product, the taste completely turned me off. It tasted extremely bitter, kind of like aspirin with a hint of mint. I was afraid that this would be the first product I couldn’t really test out because the taste was so awful to me. But I wanted to give it a fair try so I found that if I swish it in my mouth really fast after spraying, the taste is definitely less noticeable and I was able to tolerate it. Although you can kind of see the expression on my face in the video below, how I feel about the taste. You can also see my kid picking his nose…sorry about that! But the real question is does this product really work?

I have been reading other people’s reviews of this product on Amazon and they have all been raving about how fantastic this item is. People with Fibromyalgia have even claimed that they don’t have to take their medicine any more due to the benefits of this spray. As for me, I don’t have any serious illnesses but I did happen to hyper-extend my shoulder while testing out this new shower head (you can read more about that below) and it was extremely sore. I did find that while using the spray, the pain went away very quickly. I didn’t even need to use any ibuprofen or anything. I also noticed a small increase of my stamina and energy, although I wouldn’t say I’m bouncing off the walls. Would I recommend stopping your prescription medication? Probably not, but I’m not a doctor. If you have sore joints or muscles, it might be worth checking out! You can find Advanced Glutathione Spray available on Amazon.

Thin Botanicals Body Wrap

Another recent trend I’ve been seeing lately is the process of using wraps to lose weight. After having my son, I worked very hard to lose the baby weight and have been working on maintaining it for the past several years, but my tummy could definitely use some toning up. I saw this wrap from Thin Botanicals and thought, why not?

The manufacturer states that this product provides

  • Immediate long-term inch loss and body contouring. Customers report seeing weight loss and inch loss in all problem areas.
  • Detoxification process helps improve body metabolism while blocking the absorption of oils, sugars and starches.
  • Eliminates fats and toxins while tightening and toning loose skin.
  • Destroys cellulite and reduces stretch marks, especially after pregnancy. Easy to apply out of the box. NO MESS!

I am kind of skeptical about trying out new fads but here is my honest opinion of this product and how it works:

*Warning! I am going to post before and after pics of my belly to show you the actual results because I want you to know the truth. And yes, I know how pale I am but I am not going to be held responsible if you go blind. You’ve been warned. Ready? Here we go in 3…2….1….

Tummy Photos before using wraps
Ahhh! Scary!

It comes in a pack of 5 belly wraps. You apply the product to your tummy like a sticker and there is a hole for your navel. The first time I tried it, I put it on upside down, but you will want the longer portion below your belly button. I am short but have a fairly long torso. I don’t know if one size really fits all, but on me, it covered the areas I needed it to. It has a very pleasant scent. Sort of like a cinnamon herbal infusion. You are supposed to wear it for 6-8 hours a day every 2 days. So after wearing it upside down on my first day it was time to take it off. Holy mother of pearl, that thing hurt to pull off. If you have any hair on that portion of your body, you won’t after you take it off.

But I have a tip that I accidentally discovered with the 2nd use that I will share with you. So the 2nd time I tried the product, I again put it on upside down. *I never said I was bright* But I took a closer look at the picture and realized I did it all wrong. So I removed the wrap (which doesn’t hurt after you immediately apply it) and put it on correctly. After wearing overnight, it didn’t hurt nearly as much after I peeled it off. So on my 3rd use (yes I finally got it right by now) immediately after applying wrap to my body, I then peel back the sides one or two times before putting them back in place. It really makes a big difference, at least to me.

I just finished using up the product and here are my after results after using the as directed for 10 days.

You know what? At first I didn’t really notice a huge difference when I looked in the mirror, because I see myself every day. But after seeing the before and after pictures, I think it helped quite a bit! While I don’t know if it really helped my metabolism or made me lose weight, I can tell you for sure the skin on my tummy feels super smooth now. I am happy with the results. Do you notice a difference?

AquaCare by HotelSpa® Ultra-luxury Rainfall Hand Shower and Rainfall Shower Head

I live in a house with very little water pressure. It seriously sucks. So when I saw this dual shower head with a handheld attachment, I knew I wanted to try it. I am so glad I did. This shower system has so many bells and whistles with 6 different settings for creating the perfect shower. Check out my video review below!

AquaCare by HotelSpa® Ultra-luxury Rainfall Combo

Watch this video on YouTube.

You can switch between the rain shower head to the hand-held wand at the flip of a switch through its Split-zone Dual Chamber Design. The wide rain head shower has 3 different settings from a gentle shower, to a mix of the outside and inside stream, to a strong stream of water from the center. Then you just flip the switch at the top of the shower to change to the hand-held mode. The hand-held shower head also has 3 different settings as well. You can have a general shower, to a more “needle” like setting, and finally a strong stream that comes from the center.

If that’s not awesome enough, the 2 snap-on attachments are like the icing on the cake! The green brush attachment is great for exfoliating your skin and also excellent for massaging cellulite ridden areas. The purple attachment provides a deep tissue massage and is perfect for getting areas on your back that you would otherwise not be able to reach. You also have the option of having the brushes on or off with the rotation switch. I love that they are activated by running water, never wear out, and require no maintenance. The hose is really long and makes cleaning the shower so easy. It is also perfect for giving your kids or dog a bath.

Now even those of you who live in a home with low water pressure can experience a great shower without changing your plumbing! If this works so great in my house, I can only imagine how much more awesome it would be in a house with decent water pressure. I love, love, love this product!

This shower head retails for around $40-$50 on Amazon. But I am holding a giveaway where one lucky visitor can win this amazing shower head for only 1 penny! The contest will end on 8/31/15 so get your entry in now!

Luxe Beauty Essentials Plush Microfiber Hair Towel

The only thing better than taking a luxurious shower is drying off with an equally luxurious towel. I have really thick, coarse hair that takes forever to dry. We are talking an average of 4-5 hours for it to air dry naturally. And since my hair is so fried out, I try to avoid blow drying it as much as possible. For the past year, I have stopped using regular towels to dry my hair and instead have been putting it up in an old T-shirt to reduce frizz and static. I learned this somewhere on Pinterest I think. While it has helped reduce some of the frizz, it doesn’t really speed up drying. So I saw this microfiber hair towel and I thought, why not?

This Microfiber Hair Towel by Luxe Beauty 19 x 39 inches is made from double-sided brushed terry microfiber. It is very soft and feels kind of like a baby blanket. I have noticed that it has sped up the drying time for my hair and has basically cut it in half! My only complaint is that when I wrap my hair up in it “turban” style, it isn’t long enough to get all of my hair in it. I think the larger version which is 23 x 40 inches would have been a better option for me. In fact I would love to have a bath sheet made of this material! But if you have very thick hair like me, it is definitely worth a try!

  1. I have never heard of any of these items so it was all very interesting to me! I will definitely recommend the spray to a friend of mine who suffers from fibromyalgia. Thanks for posting!

    • Yeah, many users of this product seem to think it really helps with that. It couldn’t hurt to try right? 🙂

  2. Great reviews! I will have to try the body wraps after I have the baby in another month or so. I’ve also never heard of using a t-shirt to reduce frizz and static. I’m going to have to try that! Thanks for the great tip! 🙂

    • Yes I do like using a T-shirt to put up my hair. One of the things I like about it is that T-shirt material is fairly thin, so after you put your hair up in it, you can just tuck the bottom into the turban and it stays on your head for a long time. But as far as drying time goes, it doesn’t really soak up much water like a towel would. But that’s where the microfiber towel is different, which helps to drastically reduces drying time. I use a serum on my hair after using it and it helps to control any frizz. Congratulations on your upcoming arrival!

    • Thank you! These products were really fun to test out. Thanks so much for commenting 🙂

  3. I have a girlfriend that has been raving about the microfiber hair towels. I need to give those a try!

    • The microfiber towel is so soft. It feels so nice against your skin too. Thank you for commenting!

    • They are a little pricey but they would fit in with your Hogwarts herbal concoctions!

  4. I really want to try a microfiber hair towel. I have heard great things about them.

    • It really helps decrease drying time and frizz! I love it. Thanks for your comment ?

I love hearing from you...
