The kids are out of school. What should we do now?

If your kid is anything like mine, he loves watching YouTube videos and playing video games.  If he had his way, he would be on the computer from the time he wakes up until he goes to bed.

But research has shown that spending too much time in front of a screen can have a detrimental effect on the health and well-being of children.

In fact, studies have shown that taking part in nature-based activities helps people who are suffering from mental ill-health and can contribute to a reduction in levels of anxiety, stress, and depression. In fact, a daily walk in nature has showed decreased activity in a region of the brain associated with a key factor in depression.

And one of the best things about nature is that it’s free! And who doesn’t love free?
